Dermal Fillers (Restylane)

In our practice the primary Dermal Filler used is Restylane. Restylane is a crystal clear gel made of hyaluronic acid. This substance holds water, hydrates and gives volume to the skin. As we age the amount of natural hyaluronic acid diminishes. A simple injection of Restylane replenishes skin volume and improves your appearance by enhancing your profile, creating fuller lips and smoothing lines and wrinkles.

How Does Restylane Work?

Restylane adds volume to your skin while leaving your face with a natural expression. Restylane is non permanent, and is absorbed naturally over time, this means that you can choose when to have further treatment to maintain the effect.

What Does Treatment with Restylane Involve?

Restylane treatment usually takes about 30 minutes and there is no need for any pre testing. Restylane treatment in the rooms generally requires the injection of a local anesthetic prior to the injection. The numbness from the local anesthetic typically lasts approximately 1 hour. Most patients can return to their normal activities.

How Long Does Restylane Last?

The results will be immediate and the results will typically last 6 months to over 1 year. The length of time Restylane lasts is specific to each individual and the area treated.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Restylane has been used world wide in over 6 million treatments and more than 70 countries. It has an outstanding safety track record.

Can Restylane be combined with Other Procedures?

Many people use a combination of Dermal Fillers and other procedures. Mr Klein will advise you as to whether or not you will receive a better result if Restylane is combined with another procedure.
